August 2012 Favorites

Well, another month has come and gone. It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over but you know what? I couldn’t be happier! This dreadful heat will be gone soon and my favorite season will move on in, FALL! I could go on forever about my love of Fall but enough blabbering already! On to the favorites…

Arizona Half & Half

Arnold Palmer’s (half iced tea and half lemonade) are nothing new to me, however, flavored Arnold Palmer’s are. That’s right, FLAVORED! So far I’ve tried (and loved) the half iced tea, half lemonade raspberry flavor and the half sweet tea, half lemonade peach flavor. I have a half sweet tea, half pink lemonade at home but I haven’t tried that one yet. I’m sure it’s just as delicious as the rest! I also tried another half and half drink which was half iced tea, half mango. It was good but I didn’t like it as much as the others.

Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy

I’ve previously shared the Vaseline Lip Therapy as a favorite of mine but they recently came out with a Cocoa Butter version so I pick it up to try and I loveee it. I actually like the Cocoa Butter version better than the original. If you liked or even loved the original too then you should definitely give this one a try!

Ice Cream

Ice cream is a long-time love of mine and always will be. I thought I should include it in a monthly favorites at some point so I picked August.

My favorite store bought ice cream is the Breyer’s Blast! S’mores flavor. I could probably eat an entire container of it in one sitting if I wanted to. Yeah, it’s THAT good! My favorite non-store bought is a French Silk Pie Blizzard from Diary Queen. A close second would be plain Cotton Candy ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery.

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

Generally speaking, I take terrible care of my skin, hair and nails. But in my defense I’ve been trying to get better with all three of those. One of the things I’ve been doing for my nails is using this Burt’s Bees cuticle cream several times a day and to my surprise this stuff actually works! I usually have crazy looking and dry cuticles but ever since I started using this cream they have actually been looking dare I say, pretty? Maybe now I’ll actually be able to start doing polish swatches and putting them up. Hmmmm…

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeep Conditioner

(that’s exactly what the bottle says)

Keeping along the same theme I’ve been trying to take better care of my hair by using this Aussie deep conditioner. Let me tell you, this stuff works wonders! W-O-N-D-E-R-S!!! What I’ve been doing is washing my hair as normal: shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse. However, after I rinse out my regular conditioner I’ll coat my hair with the Aussie deep conditioner, leave it on for 3 minutes (per the bottles instructions) then rinse. Once my hair has completely dried it’s so soft I almost can’t believe it. It truly is a miracle! And the best part is the price. I get mine at Target for less than $3! Can’t beat that!

Cereal and Milk

I should start off by saying breakfast foods are my all around favorite: cereal, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, hash browns. Yummm, you name it and I probably love it! Except oatmeal… yuck! For the past two months or so I had been eating a cinnamon raisin bagel thin with a cream cheese triangle for breakfast but towards the end of this month I can’t seem to get enough cereal and milk. If I could I’d have breakfast at every meal and occasionally I’m guilty of eating cereal with milk twice a day but sadly, I need to stop that. I’m going to try to start eating better and incorporate more healthy foods into my diet. Egg whites here I come!

MAC

It’s no secret that I love buying makeup and beauty products (regardless of whether I actually need it or not). This month I’ve definitely been on a MAC makeup kick. I’m not going to say the exact amount I’ve spent on MAC products this month because well, frankly, it’s embarrassing!

That being said, last week I decided I’m going to try my hardest to be on a makeup and nail polish no buy for all of September. Wish me luck… seriously, wish me luck because we all know I’m going to need it! Maybe at the end of September I’ll do a post with all the products I buy throughout the month so you can see how guilty I am. But again, wish me luck!

Cosmetics Company Outlet/Store (CCO/CCS)

Heaven! That’s all I can say about the CCO/CCS. It’s this magical place where high-end, name brand (Bobbi Brown, MAC and Clinique to name a few) makeup and other beauty related products are sold at a discount. It’s usually around 30% off the original price which is pretty darn good considering most of the brands available never go on sale. This is where I purchased a few of my MAC products this month including my beloved Disney MAC makeup (Venomous Villains Collection). Still can’t believe I found it there…

Emerald Breakfast On the Go Trail Mix – S’mores Nut Blend

Soooo delicious! I’ve been snacking on these all month. Each package is the perfect size at 200 calories and keeps me full for a long time. The only downside for me is (for some crazyyy reason) they decided to add shaved coconut into the mix and I hate coconut so I just toss that out.

Music

My two favorite songs of the month may both be pop-ish but their titles couldn’t be more different. Cher Lloyd – Want You Back and Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Each is linked to a YouTube video with the track.

Carry Over Favorites:

Sally Hansen Nail Color in Pacific Blue

Wore this nail polish almost the entire month… I’m slightly obsessed! It’s just too gorgeous to paint my nails anything else!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Every time I try a new shade I fall more and more in love. It’s just such a great product. I can’t say enough good things!

Find my full review here and swatches of 9 out of 12 shades here.

That’s it for August! At first I didn’t think I’d even have enough favorites to post something for this month, but, as I started listing it all out I realized I had moreee than enough! What were some of your favorites for August? Leave them in a comment below!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Swatches (9 out of 12 Shades)

A couple months ago Revlon released their much anticipated Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and as soon as I tried them I fell in love! I am obsessed with this product and have been since the minute I tried them. I guess you can say it was love at first swatch. They are easily one of my all time favorite lip products! (for more information read my full first impression/review here) Over the past couple months I’ve purchased 9 out of the 12 shades available so I wanted to do a quick post with some swatches for you. If you haven’t tried them yet you don’t know what you’re missing! I’d suggest giving at least one shade a try and hopefully these swatches will help you decided which.

I also wanted to include all 9 shades next to each other so you can compare them a little easier.

I hope this post gives you a better idea of what the shades actually look like. Keep in mind that once applied the shade will mix with your natural lip color and give you your own unique version of that color. For instance, Romantic is a red but once applied to my lips it mixes with my lip color and gives off a gorgeous bright coral. Just something to keep in mind but all-in-all you can’t lose with this product! If I pick up any of the remaining 3 shades I’ll update this post with another swatch.

Happy Monday everyone!

DIY: Custom Crayons

What you’ll need:

– Razor or Exacto knife

– Knife

– Cutting board
(you may want to use a cutting board or other solid
surface you don’t mind ruining)

– Cookie Sheet

– Aluminum Foil

– Crayons

– Oven safe silicone mold(s)
(I got mine for 99 cents each from Ikea. Yes, only 99 cents!!!)

– Toothpicks

Step 1

Using a razor or Exacto knife carefully slice the crayon wrapper then remove. Repeat until the number of desired crayons is reached. I found it easiest to hold the crayon at the top (as shown in the top, right picture below) and slice the wrapper in one straight line.

*If you’re using a new pack of crayons the wrappers of certain colors will be a little trickier to remove. I’d suggest popping them into the freezer for about 15 minutes before you begin the unwrapping process. The slight freeze allows for easier removal.*

Step 2

Begin cutting the unwrapped crayons into small pieces. The pieces should be around ¼ of an inch or smaller. This will allow the pieces to fit into the forms small cracks. While cutting up the crayons I started off using one method but that was taking quite a bit of time so I switched to another. Listed below are both methods I used while cutting the crayons.

Method #1

Place a crayon onto the cutting board and hold as seen in the first photo below. Begin sawing at the crayon while applying pressure downwards. You should only need to saw a bit before it breaks into a small piece.

Method #2

Place a crayon onto the cutting board. Hold the knife as shown in the first picture below then apply pressure directly onto the index finger using your other hand (as shown in the second picture below). Be careful with your thumb placement during this method so it doesn’t get caught under the end of the knife.

I found this method more effective because it was the faster of the two.

Step 3

Once the desired amount of crayons have been cut, you can begin filling your silicone mold(s). This is the part where you let your creativity and imagination take hold. Play around with different patterns and color combinations to make each crayon unique. You’ll want to overfill the forms slightly so when the crayon pieces begin to melt it’s entirely filled with melted wax.

Step 4

Once desired amount of forms have been filled place the mold onto an aluminum foiled covered cookie sheet.

Step 5

Place cookie sheet into a 250 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Time and temperature may vary slightly oven to oven.

*You basically just want to bake until all the crayon pieces have melted. I’d suggest checking the mold around the 10 minute mark and see how it’s doing.*

Step 6

Once all the crayon pieces have completely melted remove the cookie sheet from the oven. Using a toothpick pop any air bubbles you see on the surface of the melted wax.

*This step is kind of optional. If the air bubbles are not popped you just won’t have as smooth of a surface on the new crayons.*

Step 7

Carefully carry the silicone mold and place it into the freezer for 20 minutes. Try to avoid spilling the melted wax because obviously, it will burn if it gets onto your skin. After 20 minutes the new crayons should be completely hardened, as well as cool.

Step 8

After 20 minutes remove the mold from the freezer and set aside until it reaches room temperature. This step will help the new crayons release easier.

Step 9

Flex the mold back and forth a bit to loosen the new crayons. Once the crayons have been loosened, flip the mold over and start popping them out. You’ll want to do this with a careful hand so they don’t break when they’re released.

Repeat until all the crayons have been released and you’re done!

Since these crayons are so adorable and would make a great gift I decided to add on a quick and easy wrapping option.

What you’ll need:

– Small treat bags

– Ribbon

– Scissors

– Crayon

All you do is place a crayon into the small treat bag then tie off the top with a ribbon.

This craft is really inexpensive, easy, and I honestly had fun making them. I really hope you all will give it a shot. I also tested it out with the kids I nanny the next day, and they had a blast. Look for pictures from that day in August’s Nanny Bits post at the end of the month.

Give my tutorial a try? Leave a comment. I’d love to hear whether or not it worked out for you and what you came up with.

Michigan City/Weekend Haul

I took 4 days off work last weekend to relax and squeeze in a quick getaway with my mom before school starts back up in September. We went to Michigan City for a few days and naturally did a bit of shopping while we there. Even more naturally (for me) the shopping continued once we were back home. Here’s a collective haul of everything I bought last Friday through Monday. Enjoyyy!

Friday:

Harry and David

Apparently Friday was national S’mores day so since I wasn’t home to have a proper celebration I decided to improvise by picking this up from Harry and David at the outlet mall.

Bath & Body Works

I was so, so, so excited when I saw my favorite (and discontinued) Bath & Body Works scent, Dancing Waters, at the outlet mall. I did a little stocking up of the Dancing Waters products, as well as two hand sanitizers of my other favorite scent, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin.

Under Armour

After months and months of searching I finally found the perfect plain black running/track jacket. Unfortunately it was full price (hate when stores get you with the full price at outlet malls) so I was a bit hesitant to purchase it at first. As we finished walking around/shopping I decided I might as well get it because I loved it and had been looking for one for so long. We walked back over to Under Armour and lucky for me I have the best mom ever; she offered to buy me the jacket. Thanks mom, you’re the best! I can’t wait to wear it!

CCO (The Cosmetics Company Outlet)

I’ve known about the Cosmetic Company Outlets for a while now but hadn’t been around one until we went to Michigan City. I was super excited to finally be able to check it out and it did not disappoint! My first thought was ‘hmm, why haven’t I gone to this place sooner?!’ It was AMAZING! I’ll explain why by trying to make a long story short… Basically, MAC came out with a Disney villain’s collection in 2010 and of course I need to have anything and everything Disney. Sadly, that was wayyy before I got into MAC and/or collecting makeup. I had been longing for it all ever since finding out that such a thing existed. So when I walked into CCO for the first time on Friday I was beyondddd excited to see several pieces from the collection there. I jumped at the chance to buy a few things but I only wanted to choose things I liked and would actually use. From the MAC Disney Venomous Villains collection I got an eye shadow in Sweet Joy and a lipglass in Strange Potion. I also got another eye shadow in Moleskin. I’m not really sure what collection that’s from or why it was at the CCO but I liked it and it was cheap-ish so I got it! I think that CCOs might be my new favorite place! You’ll probably be hearing about it much more in the future.

If you’re not familiar with what a CCO is you can find more information here. Trust me, you’ll want to find out more about it!

Columbia

They didn’t have any of the fleeces I liked in my size so all I got from Columbia was a new lunch box for school for when I’m observing. Not so fun but I needed a new one and this was perfect.

CVS

I had been wanting a few of the newer Essie polishes for a while and since I had a 30% off CVS coupon I thought what a perfect opportunity to pick them up! I also bought another Good to Go top coat since my old one is almost empty (I swear by that stuff!) and a Burt’s Bees cuticle cream I’ve been wanting to try. I can’t wait to use my new metallic polishes for fall!

Saturday:

Believe it or not I didn’t buy anything on Saturday! At least not that I can remember, shocker…

Sunday:

MAC

I’ve wanted to build a MAC eye shadow palette for a while now so since I had been saving for the trip and didn’t really buy much over the weekend I decided to treat myself back at home. Unfortunately the MAC I went to didn’t have any 15 pan palettes in stock so I just went with a 4 pan palette to start. But you know what?! For some reason it ends up being cheaper if you build a palette and order it from the MAC website. So I think I’m going to keep the lipstick (Viva Glam Nicki) and empty 4 pan palette but return the actual eye shadow pans then just order a whole 15 pan palette filled from the website. Plus, that way I’ll save money (in the long run) and get what I really wanted anyway. It’s a win-win!

Ikea

Sneak peak! I needed to get some silicon molds for a future DIY so I stopped at Ikea to pick a few different designs since they were only 99¢ each! What a bargain!

Monday:

Ross

I originally went into Ross with the idea of checking out a Color Club nail polish set I saw everyone on Instagram have but once I got there and actually saw the set I wasn’t impressed. But of course I didn’t let that stop me… I dug through that little makeup/nail polish section and hit the jackpot! I found a set of 6 Essie polishes for only $18! It was a little more than I wanted to spend that trip but I couldn’t pass up the deal. I also bought Paris Hilton Can-Can perfume for $12! I had bought one during high school but it’s almost empty and has been for a few years. I decided to finally get a new one this summer but never got around to it so I was thrilled to see one there for so cheap. My friends, these are the reasons why I love Ross!

Target

Last stop was at my beloved Target. I exchanged a sweater I previously bought for a bigger size because I wanted it to be super big and comfy. I couldn’t resist those cute Chevron socks and the clearance eyebrow pencil since I wanted to buy that EXACT same one anyway! Woohoo! Don’t you just love when that happens?! Oh, and don’t judge my massive amount of crayons. They have a purpose, I promise. You’ll see veryyyyy soon!

So as you can see I might have a teeny, weeny, tiny, small, not-so-small shopping problem. But in my defense, I may spend a lot but I work hard for my money and I also put a lot of it away as well. So it all balances out… kind of.

Since I had such success at the outlet mall in Michigan City I made plans to meet a friend at our local outlet mall tomorrow. If I end up scoring more good deals I might put up another haul next week. Cross your fingers for me!

Everyone have a good and safe weekend! See you next week!

Weekend Trip: Michigan City August 2012

Last weekend my mom and I went on a little trip to Michigan City, Indiana and as promised I’m sharing it with you. Here is the low down of what we did along with some pictures I took. Hope you enjoy it!

Friday:

My mom and I woke up, had a quick breakfast at home, got ready for the day and were on our way to Michigan City by 9:20ish. Since we weren’t able to check into our hotel right away our first stop was to do a little shopping at the outlet mall (Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets). It only took us about an hour and a half to get from our house to the outlet mall in Michigan City. Considering the closest outlet mall to our house is about an hour drive anyway the drive to Michigan City wasn’t bad AT ALL. The week before our trip my mom went on the outlet mall website (linked above) and signed up for the VIP Club. So naturally the first thing we did upon arriving was go straight to the information center to pick up our VIP coupon booklets. YAY for coupons! We spent a few hours walking around and shopping. While there I definitely renewed my love of outlet malls because it reminded of how amazing and cheap they can be! If you’re interested in seeing what I bought over the weekend I’ll be posting a haul tomorrow so check back for that.

Note: There was a creepy nuclear power plant weirdly close to the outlet mall.

Anywho, after a few hours of shopping we decided it was time to eat so we went to Albano’s Villa (which is a pizzeria) and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! If you’re ever in the Michigan City area I would recommend that place 100 times over. After pizza we wanted something sweet so we went to Dairy Queen to get our favorite, French Silk Pie Blizzards!

The blizzards were delicious as always but once we finished, it was back to shopping! I had gotten an e-mail earlier that week for 30% off my entire in-store purchase at CVS so obviouslyyy I had to take advantage of that! We picked up a few things at CVS then it was finally time for us to check into our hotel. We stayed at the Microtel Inn and Suites and it was really nice! We LOVED that darn window seat! My only complaint was the beds weren’t very comfortable but other than that it was great.

We brought all of our bags in, checked out the hotel a bit then freshened up and headed to Blue Chip Casino.

This was my first time ever at a Casino and it wasn’t a great experience. We didn’t actually lose any money because we only used the $25 dollar voucher our hotel provided us with but the smell was awful. Indiana doesn’t have a smoking ban on casinos so I was just so uncomfortable the entire time. I do not like the smell of smoke, it makes me feel sick and I just get irritable very quickly when I’m around it. I’ll definitely give gambling a second chance back home because a friend who works at a local casino told me smoking is banned in all Illinois casinos (phew!). After Blue Chip we headed back to our hotel to relax, snack on popcorn, watch the Olympics and call it a night.

Saturday:

Even though we were on vacation my mom and I got our day started fairly early. Well actually, I didn’t sleep (insomnia problems!) so I was already up, so we went down for our complimentary breakfast around 8:15 or so. After breakfast we went back to our room to get ready for the day and then off we went! Our first activity of the day was Washington Park. Washington Park is a really cool place because it’s a park, zoo and beach all within walking distance of each other. First we stopped at the zoo and it was actually pretty awesome. Not only did it have a ton of really cool and unique animals that you usually don’t see at zoos but you were able to get ridiculously close to them. And when I say close I mean I was literally 3 feet away from several tigers. Anyone could just stick their hand in the cage and pet it if they wanted to. Although, I hope no one is that crazy because those big cats were territorial. One of them actually tried to spray the kids in the group next to us!

Note: My mom was HILAIROUS talking to those llamas. I wish you all could have seen it. I was standing farrr away because I didn’t want to get spat on!

Note: This monkey was so, so, so cute. I could have stood and watched it for hours.

Note: How funny and cute was this bear licking the glass?!

Once we finished walking around the zoo and checked out all the animals we walked over to the beach part of Washington Park. It was cloudy and cold on Saturday so we just walked along the sidewalk to the little lighthouse and guess what?! We actually saw Chicago in the distance! Well, at least we think it was Chicago…?

After we were finished oohhhh and ahhhing over seeing Chicago we left Washington Park. We wanted to grab a quick bit to eat at McDonalds but on the way there we made a pit stop at a farmer’s market.

Note: I love peanut butter so when I saw this “Katie’s peanut butter” at the farmer’s market of course I had to snap a picture.

While at McDonalds I finally got the chance to try their new-ish s’mores pie. You may or may not know that I loveeee s’mores. I’m a self proclaimed s’mores connoisseur. Sadly, I was not impressed with the pie and definitely won’t be buying one again.

After lunch we went to what my mom and I now like to refer to as “the ghost mall” because it was almost entirely deserted. There were three department stores and 5-6 other small stores open in the entire mall. The rest of the stores were closed down.

Note: Weird/creepy mannequin heads at the ghost mall.

Needless to say we weren’t there long but still wanted to shop a little more so we went to the Big R and Wal-mart (doesn’t everyone go to Wal-Mart on vacation?). Once our (or I should say my) shopping bug was satisfied we headed back to our hotel to chill for a bit, have a snack and play Skipbo. It was nice to relax after two busy days but hey, we didn’t want to just sit around all night so we decided to go to the movies and see Brave. Before going to the theater we ran to Walgreens to pick up a drink and some candy to share. Yes, we’re those people. Judge away.

I’m not going to do a full review on Brave since it’s been out for a while but it was GREAT. I’d give it four stars and would highly recommend it. It turned out to be the perfect mother-daughter movie so I’m glad we saw it together during our trip. After the movies we got some dinner at Olive Garden. My mom and I were joking that our waitress hated us because all we got was soup and a piece of cake to share on a busy Saturday night, whoops… Other than that dinner was nice but we were both pretty tired by the end of the night so we went back to the hotel to call it a night with a few more games of Skipbo, and the Olympics.

Sunday:

Since our shopping experience on Saturday was kind of a bust we decided get on the road early Sunday to head home and go to one of our local malls. We woke up around 8 to get ready, packed up our stuff and checked out of the hotel. Before heading home we went to IHOP for a quick breakfast. We didn’t know it was possible, but the drive home was even easier than the drive there. It only took us about an hour to get home, woohoo! Once we got back in town we stopped at our house to drop our bags off and pick up my step dad then we were off to do some more shopping! After the mall we stopped at The Container Store and Ikea before ending the day with dinner at Chili’s and a quick stop at Jewel to pick up some groceries. Back to reality eh?

Note: Chili’s has the besssst chips and salsa ever so I felt the need to photograph it to show you. You’re welcome.

Back home I capped off the night by watching the closing ceremony for the Olympics. Can’t believe they’re over but I’m extremely proud of all the US Olympians and how well our country did!

Monday:

I woke up Monday morning EXHAUSTED. Who knew that a little weekend trip could take so much out of me! Anyway, I bummed in bed until about 12 then I had to get up and get ready because blah, I had a doctor’s appointment. Really, back to reality… but no worries, I’m healthy! Although, I’ve discovered that I might have a different kind of problem because I went shopping AGAIN. Before the doctor I ran into Ross and scored some pretty awesome deals if I do say so myself. After the doctor I went to Target. Side note: did you know they don’t even have a Target in Michigan City?! Uhhh, I could never live there! I was itching to go to Target all weekend so I just couldn’t resist on Monday when I passed one coming home from the doctor. I got my Target fix then went back home to relax and edit all the pictures for today and tomorrow’s posts. I ended my four day vacation by bumming in bed again and catching up on all the YouTube videos I missed while we were in Michigan City.

Well now that I’ve typed out my life story from last weekend, I’m off to go type another post about something a little more fun.
*cough* haul, haul, haul *cough* I might have a shopping problem *cough*

See you tomorrowwww!

What’s in My Travel Makeup Bag?

As you may or may not know… I’m going on a little trip this weekend. It was originally supposed to be my mom, her friend, my friend and I going to the Mall of America. However, due to uncontrollable circumstances neither of our friends were able to make the trip so we were back to the drawing board. In order to avoid driving all the way to Minnesota my mom and I decided to go somewhere a little closer. After going over all the possibilities we could think of we decided on Michigan City, Indiana. Michigan City is only about an hour and a half drive as opposed to the 8 hour drive to the Mall of America. I’ll probably be putting up a vacation post with pictures and what not sometime next week but until then I wanted to share with you the makeup/beauty products (not including brushes) I plan on taking with me.

STORAGE

These are the two makeup bags I plan on taking with me. I received the larger Sonia Kashuk bag as a birthday gift last year from my best friend and the smaller bag is from Target’s Spring beauty bag giveaway.

Now onto the fun stuff!

BROWS

Urban Decay Brow Box in Honey Pot, Maybelline Define-a-Brow eyebrow pencil in Light Brown and clear Maybelline Great Lash mascara to use as a brow gel.

FACE

Benefit Boi~ing concealer in 01, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium, MAC Fix + and NYC Smooth Skin bronzing face powder in 720A Sunny.

CHEEKS

MAC powder blush in Sunbasque, Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Tipsy and Tarte Amazonian clay bronzer in Park Ave Princess.

EYES

I wanted to have some options on my trip since we’ll be doing a variety of different activities so I decided to bring two different Sonia Kashuk 12 eye shadow palettes. On the left is Eye on Neutral and on the right is Eye on Color (I’m been lovinggg them both). I’m also taking an Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eye pencil in Perversion, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Maybelline waterproof liquid eyeliner in Black, Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion in Very Black and my favorite E.L.F. eyelash curler.

LIPS

I wanted to have some different options for lips as well so I chose two Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains. The pink is Cherish and the orange/coral is Rendezvous. I’m also bringing a L’Oreal Colour Riche Caresse lipstick in Sunset Angora and Baby Lips in Quenched which is clear.

OTHER

Other beauty related items I’m taking are Victoria Secret Dream Angels perfume in Forever, PINK Fresh Vanillas body mist in Dream On, Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer, E.L.F. daily brush cleaner and Simple cleansing facial wipes. I’m also taking deodorant, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and some type of face wash or bar of soap to clean my face with but I figure that’s all a given…

Well that’s it! I hope you all enjoyed this post. Hopefully it gave you some ideas of things to take next time you go on a trip or just some things to pick up and try next time you’re out.

Keep a look out for a possible Michigan City trip post and/or a Michigan City shopping haul sometime next week. We’re hitting the road now so gotta go, byeeeee! Have a great weekend!

late at night. Whoops…)

Nanny Bits: July 2012

Note: Peppa* randomly decided to play ghost while Sippy*, Grover* and I were talking during snack. I just haddd to snap a quick picture because it was too cute when I looked over and saw this.

Note: I swear, the boys are the BEST big brothers ever! But that’s another story. I could go on forever!

Note: She did this all on her own while the boys were playing Wii. Again, I just haddd to snap a picture to share with you.

Note: 5 minutes after they got home from summer camp this is all I saw. Needless to say it wore them out!

We also took a trip to our local children’s museum last month but of course I went overboard with the pictures so I made a separate post for them which you can find here. Well, that’s it for Nanny Bits July 2012! I hope you all had a good July and have an even better August!
